The goal of the 2010 call for research proposals (CRP) is to inform thinking about possible changes to the regulatory framework and evaluation methods adapted to new scientific knowledge. The areas of research investigated through this CRP thus include very wide potential fields of GMO research, including:
- regulatory concepts
- defining a protocol for the socio-economic assessment of GMO impacts
- specifying the framework for evaluating the impact of coexistence between GM and non-GM crops
- GMO governance at national, European and international level.
After evaluating the proposals pre-selected by the Scientific Council and the opinion of the Steering Committee, the Ministry of Sustainable Development selected three projects on a variety of subjects:
